Dumah's First Snow!

Yesterday was a banner day for dogs in Bishop. It snowed for hours and we got some measurable white stuff to play in! Stay tuned for the movie (in editing right now)...

Sugar Coated

I've been getting to know this little pit bull puppy (the one on the right). Her name is Sugar. She was a ballerina in a past life, and is the exact color of painite, the world's rarest gem mineral. Sugar is being cared for by my friend and neighbor Nancy Hardy, who runs the Eastern Sierra Dog Rescue and is also everybody's favorite dog trainer. Sugar's sister, Spice, has already been adopted to a happy home.

If you know anybody who qualifies to be Sugar's new caretaker, please call the dog rescue at (760) 872-0946.

Pinkness

Puppies are great. Why not adopt one from the local animal shelter? This one is not quite finished incubating.

Welcome to Mudsocks!

This is Dumah, the dog who inspired it all.

My Name is Elizabeth, and I moved to Bishop from Southern California almost a year ago. Since I arrived I have made many friends -- almost all of them dogs. Eventually people started asking me if I was available to walk their dogs for a fee. I thought that was weird, but I accepted, and now I suspect my new destiny is unfolding.
Every dog is special beyond belief. Especially Dumah. Yesterday he found a petrified frog by the Owen's River. There should be an award for that.

Dumah and I will be blogging about our continuing adventures, and we hope you join us...

Happy Holidays!
